Milesnick Ranch History
Milesnick Ranch was established in 1936 when John & Rose Milesnick relocated to the Gallatin Valley after their ranch was displaced by The Fort Peck Dam in eastern Montana. John & Rose raised 1 son and 5 daughters on the ranch. The primary resource that drew the Milesnicks to the Gallatin Valley land, was the abundance of water on the ranch.

Son, Stan, stayed on the ranch and ran the cattle and hay operation until 1990. Stan & Joyce raised 2 sons and 4 daughters on the ranch.

Their son, Tom, has worked on the ranch since 1968 and took over management in 1990 and he and his wife Mary Kay established MZBar Cattle Co and operate the cattle, hay and grain today.

Milesnick Ranch consists of 1400 acres of rich bottomland in Gallatin County. We raise Red Angus/Simmental cattle and produce hay and grain to compliment the operation.
